ProfessionalServices.ca is a Canadian business consulting service for law firms, engineering practices and accounting firms. Our home is the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group; our headquarters are in Vancouver, and Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads every engagement. We help partners decide what to grow, become visible for it, and convert the resulting enquiries into well-chosen engagements.

The company

The practice sits inside a small group of Canadian consulting companies:

  • Sedighi.ca is the growth, marketing and technology consultancy Ali Sedighi runs; HVAC.Agency, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca sit among its brands.
  • SAZ.ca (the name stands for Strategy & Acceleration Zone) does strategy, AI and revenue acceleration consulting for Canadian companies. Ali founded it and serves as Founder and Managing Partner; its strategic direction comes from Sedighi.ca.

ProfessionalServices.ca applies SAZ.ca's three engagement types (strategy and executive advisory, Revenue Acceleration as a 90-day sprint, and AI consulting) to the particular economics of professional firms. The services page shows how.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi holds an MBA in Technology Management and has 17+ years of experience in digital marketing and business growth, beginning in 2007 when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver.

Along the way he founded Conv.ca, a conversion-rate optimisation agency, and MyAutomation.ca, and he is Founder and Managing Partner of SAZ.ca. His client work spans Canada, the USA and Dubai, and his record includes 150+ live HVAC websites built. That last number matters here for a specific reason: building that many sites taught us what makes a service business findable and trusted, and most of it applies to a firm selling expertise rather than equipment. More of his background is at saz.ca/founder and sedighi.ca/ali-sedighi.

What we are, and what we are not

We are business and marketing advisers. We are not a law firm, an engineering firm or an accounting firm, and nobody at ProfessionalServices.ca gives legal, engineering, accounting or tax advice. We don't interpret your regulator's rules on advertising, referral fees, designations or client confidentiality. When a question touches those areas, we send you to the source: your law society, your provincial engineering regulator, your CPA body, or your own counsel. The areas page links each of them by province.

That boundary is not a disclaimer tacked on at the end. It shapes how we work. Every content plan assumes compliance review by your firm. Every referral program assumes you have checked the rules on referral arrangements. Every AI routine assumes a licensed professional is accountable for the output.

How we work

A few principles run through every engagement:

  1. Numbers before opinions. We start with fees, time, enquiries and sources from your own records. Gut feel is useful, but it should be tested.
  2. Partner time is finite. Plans are sized to the hours partners can actually give, which is usually fewer than everyone hopes.
  3. Small, kept routines. A one-hour weekly rhythm that survives tax season or trial prep beats a quarterly offsite that changes nothing.
  4. Written scope. Every engagement starts with a proposal stating scope, timing and terms. Nothing is assumed.
  5. Honest reporting. If something isn't working, we say so and change it.

We work across Canada, meeting by video call or in person and working by phone, text and email. That suits firms whose partners are in court, on site or with clients for much of the week.

Why professional firms, specifically

Professional firms are service businesses with unusual constraints: regulated advertising, confidentiality obligations, partnership decision-making, and a product that is mostly the time and judgment of a few senior people. Generic small-business marketing advice often ignores all of that. Our approach is built around it. The guides show the kind of thinking we bring, and the results page shows the verified outcomes behind the method.

Talk to us

The first conversation is a complimentary, confidential consultation with a senior partner. See the contact page for how to reach us and what to include.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns ProfessionalServices.ca?

ProfessionalServices.ca belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, and its engagements run through SAZ.ca, the Canadian strategy, AI and revenue acceleration firm founded by Ali Sedighi.

Are you lawyers, engineers or accountants?

No. We are business and marketing advisers. We do not provide legal, engineering, accounting or tax advice, and we do not interpret professional regulations.

Where are you based?

We are headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and work with firms across Canada, in person or by video call as well as by phone, text and email.

Why are your case studies from HVAC companies?

Because that is where our published, verifiable results come from. We present them as results from our HVAC work and explain what transfers, rather than inventing professional-services examples.
